- Council for a Livable World
A Washington-based non-profit organization founded by nuclear
physicist Leo Szilard. CLW is dedicated to monitoring and influencing
arms control legislation in the US and advocates deep reductions and
elimination of weapons of mass destruction.
- Federation of American Scientists
(FAS)
FAS was founded in 1945 (as the Federation of Atomic Scientists)
by members of the Manhattan Project to 'to address the implications
and dangers of the nuclear age'. FAS now researches issues relating
to US national security, nuclear weapons, arms sales, biological hazards,
secrecy, education technology, information technology, energy and
the environment.
- Nuclear Control Institute (NCI)
The NCI is Washington DC-based nonproliferation group with a focus
on the problematics around fissile material. NCI is particularly critical
of some of the US-Russian nuclear cooperation programs that envision
the use and recycling of plutonium (reprocessing) and highly enriched
uranium in energy and research programs.

Advisory Council (RANSAC)
Established in 1997, RANSAC is dedicated to develop new US-Russian
nuclear cooperation projects as well as helping old ones to be implemented.
The organization is made up of former US and Russian governmental
officials and advisors, scientists and academics from the nonproliferation
and nuclear energy fields.

The USC is a nonprofit alliance of 50 000 citizens and scientists
